Admission Process:
Complete this application form, and Mrs. Downs will reach out to you to chat about your individual student or students and the program.
Curriculum:
This program utilizes online learning platforms that automatically adjust to meet the individual needs of the learners and inform the teacher (and families) of the students' needs and progress. Additionally, Mrs. Downs selects many sources of curriculum based on the needs of the learners since we have yet to find a single curriculum that works perfectly for every student all the time!
Religious Affiliation:
Not applicable
Typical Day:
Students are expected to be dropped off and picked up on time. When students arrive, the math portion of the class will begin. Students will be engaged in math tasks while the teacher works with each group at their individual levels of instruction. Afterwards, students will transition from math to reading. Once again, students will work in groups on tasks, with the teacher moving from group to group to teach mini-lessons for the day.

Students will spend the final ten minutes of class cleaning up and getting ready for dismissal.
Philosophy:
Children learn through experiences. These include discussions with peers, trial and error, experiments, and even what they see (observe) and read. It is the teacher's job to arrange these learning experiences in a safe and loving environment.
