About Accounts
To send invoices and collect payments, you must first create accounts. An account represents the payer who will receive the invoices and make the payments.
Types of Accounts
- Linked Accounts: Tied to a guardian in your Spark school. Guardians can manage payment methods and view invoices via their dashboard.
- Detached Accounts: For payers who are not guardians in your Spark school. These accounts do not have access to a payment portal, can pay online through an email.
Creating Accounts
- Navigate to the Accounts page under the Billing section.
- Click on + New Billing Account.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Link to Guardian: Select a guardian from the dropdown to link the account.
- Detached Account: For payers not associated with your school.
- Fill out the necessary details and click Create Account.
Accessing & Paying Invoices
Linked and detached account holders can both access and pay invoices manually or online via email.
Additionally, linked account holders can:
- View all invoices—past, current, and future.
- Make online payments.
- Save ACH or card information for future payments.
- Opt to pay all outstanding invoices at once or just the current invoice.
