School Settings

School Settings
School Settings allows you to manage your school's contact details and configure default settings for various features, including:
- Billing information – Appears on invoices and billing emails.
- Payment options – Allows payers to choose how they pay you.
- Invoice settings – Customize invoices by adding a logo and instructions.
- Receipt preferences – Add custom body and footer messages to receipts.
- Custom data fields – Personalize people profiles with additional information.
If you are the school owner, you can also archive your school under Settings → Danger.
Note: Many of these settings are only available in the Microschool version. The School Settings page in the Microschool version is found on the Admin side.
Customizing Public Information
In School → Settings, there is a tab titled Public Information. Here, you can enter information that will appear in several places:
- School name, banner, and icon: these will personalize and brand your Spark platform.
- School name and icon: appear on your School Resources and Information page and in certain emails sent from Spark, including invoice and portal invitation emails.
- School Public Information will be shown on your School Resources and Information page.
- Basic Billing Info appears on invoices, emails, and other billing-related correspondence.
To enter or edit, simply click on the field, enter the information, and click Save.

Customizing Other Settings
Miscellaneous
In the Miscellaneous tab under School → Settings, you have two setting options for student portals:
- Chat: determine whether or not student can chat with one another on their portal.
- Submission Confirmation: require students to confirm their assignment submissions, preventing accidental submissions.

Payments
Manage payment options for guardians and others who pay through Spark in the Payments tab in School → Settings. These settings can also be managed in the Billing → Settings page.

Invoices
In the Invoices tab of School → Settings you can add a logo and instructions that will appear on all invoices.
Receipts
Manage information in the receipts that are sent to payers in the Receipts tab of School → Settings.
Whenever an online payment is made, either through a form or invoice, the payer and school contact person will receive a receipt. The body and footer of receipts can be managed here. Custom receipts for form payments can be managed in the Forms feature.

Custom Data
A Custom Data Form allows you to add custom attributes to various people and things in your school. For example, a form created here can be attached to the profile of a student, guardian, staff, group, or family. This enables you to add custom data to these profiles. Danger
School owners can archive their school in the Danger tab. Archived schools can be restored at any time with all data intact. To permanently delete a school, contact us at hello@sparkschools.co.
